AI Bid Insights
After a bid is decided, see exactly how yours compared to the others on price, delivery, compliance, and technical fit, where you led, where you trailed, and what to do differently next time.
What you'll learn
- Understand why a bid was not selected, dimension by dimension
- See where your bid led and where it trailed the winning bid
- Turn the analysis into concrete changes for your next bid
Losing a bid usually comes with no explanation. The request closes, an award goes to someone else, and you are left guessing. Was your price too high? Was the delivery window the problem? Did a compliance gap quietly disqualify you? Without an answer, the next bid is just another guess, and you repeat whatever cost you the last one.
AI Bid Insights gives you the answer. After your bid has been decided, it shows how your bid compared to the others in the same request, broken down by price, delivery, compliance, and technical fit. It tells you where you led, where you trailed the winning bid, and gives you specific suggestions for what to do differently. The winner is always anonymized, so you learn from the outcome without seeing who you were up against.
Why this matters
A lost bid is the most useful feedback you can get, but only if you can read it. Bid Insights turns a single "not selected" into a structured comparison: your rank in the field, the size of the gap on price and delivery, the dimensions where you actually won, and the handful of changes most likely to move the result next time. That is the difference between guessing and improving.
Who sees this and when
Bid Insights is a supplier tool. It appears on your own bid's detail page, and only once that bid has reached a final state, after it has been rejected or withdrawn. While a request is still open or under evaluation, there is nothing to compare against yet, so the tool stays out of the way. Once the outcome is settled, it becomes available on the bid you submitted.
You are always looking at your own bid. You never see another supplier's bid, and the winning bid is shown under an anonymized label so the comparison stays fair to everyone.
What it costs
Generating the analysis uses AI credits, on any plan, Explore, Grow, or Scale. The amount is confirmed before you generate, so you decide with the cost in front of you. A run that fails is not charged. Once generated, the analysis for that bid is stored, so reopening it later, after a refresh or on another day, replays it for free. You do not pay twice to read the same insight.
AI features are gated by your credit balance, not your plan. See AI credits for how the balance works and how to top it up.
Reading your bid insights
The feature sits on your bid's detail page as a panel you toggle open, then generate. The result is organized as a summary up top, a row of gap chips, and four sections you switch between.
Open the insights panel
Open the decided bid from Bids. Below the bid summary you will find the insights control. Toggle it open, then select Generate. VEXORS confirms the credit cost, then analyzes your bid against the rest of the field.
Read the summary and gap chips
The summary shows your rank in the field, for example #3 of 7 bidders, alongside an anonymized label for the winning bid. A row of gap chips quantifies the key differences at a glance: how your price compared as a percentage, the delivery-days difference, the points gap in scoring, and the Trust Score difference. Green chips are where you were ahead; amber and red mark where you trailed. A short narrative summary sits beneath them.
Work through the four sections
The panel has four tabs. Why you lost lists the specific weaknesses that worked against your bid. Comparison is a side-by-side table grouped into commercial, technical, delivery, and compliance, showing your value, the winner's value, and an Ahead, Behind, or Tied verdict on each line. Strengths names where your bid genuinely led. Tips gives concrete suggestions, each tagged with how much impact it is likely to have.
Start with the Comparison tab, then read Tips. Comparison shows you the precise shape of the gap, line by line, and Tips translates that into the changes most likely to move your next result. The high-impact tips are the ones to act on first.
When the award is still pending
If your bid was withdrawn or rejected but the request has not yet awarded a winner, there is no winning bid to compare against. In that case the panel tells you the award is still pending and focuses on your bid's own strengths and weaknesses rather than a head-to-head comparison. Come back after the award is decided for the full picture.
What good looks like
- You generated insights soon after the outcome, while the request was still fresh in your mind.
- You read the Comparison table before forming a conclusion, instead of assuming price was the issue. Sometimes you were cheapest and lost on delivery or compliance.
- You acted on the high-impact tips for your next bid in the same category, rather than treating the analysis as a post-mortem you file and forget.
- You used the anonymized winner comparison to calibrate, not to try to identify a competitor. The point is your own improvement.
Bid Insights is a supplier-side tool, so as a buyer you do not generate or see it. What you do control is the quality of the signal it draws on: a clear Bill of Quantities, well-defined evaluation criteria, and AI Scoring on the bids you receive all feed into a sharper, fairer comparison for every supplier who later reviews their own result.
